The financing program is designed for campground owners to use in developing and improving their business. With over 20 years of experience, the staffs of Independence Bank and Prairie Kraft have the background and knowledge necessary to understand the uniqueness of the camping industry and have tailor-made this program to fit your specialized needs.

There is not a dollar limit and loans up to $100,000 are then approved based on a completed one page loan application. (download the bank application here)

Repayment terms are very flexible with the choice of: “Grow-With-The-Flow” or “EZ” monthly payments; two to eight year repayment schedules, and payments based on total camper nights or cabin/cottage revenues. For example, you may pay as little as $0.25 per camper night during your camping season in order to pay for paving your sites. The payment amount depends on the amount you wish to borrow, the length of the loan and your annual camper nights.

If you have a slow camping season you are not saddled with high fixed monthly payments.

Testimonials

“I have worked with Prairie Kraft and Independence Bank for more than 8 years as we have converted 3 campgrounds to the KOA system. Independence Bank understands campgrounds and accommodations. They have helped us finance infrastructure upgrades as well as all of our cabins, cottages, and lodges. Working with Independence Bank and Prairie Kraft is enjoyable and profitable. I consider it a “no brainer”. “

“Getting a loan from Independence Bank/Prairie Kraft for our new kabins in Estes Park was as simple as 1-2-3. Pam faxed me the paperwork, I filled it out and boom we were financed. The payment plan is very simple also.”

“I just completed making a payment for the new “Go with the flow” loan program instituted by Prairie Kraft with help from the Owners Association and Independence Bank of Montana, and I thought this would be a good time to give a little plug to this program.

When Loren first spoke to this at our March State meeting, it sounded too good. When we cornered him after the meeting, he assured us that this was a very flexible program and that it would work for almost any campground.

After getting back to Fort Collins, we contacted Carrie at Prairie Kraft and told her we wanted $100,000 for each campground. She said fine, she would send out the paper work. Well, fine, we expected the usual financial goble–gook, but to our surprise, there were two forms, one for each campground.

We signed a statement on Mile High that said we would repay with a % of Kabin income, since we ordered 4 Kabins, a Satellite Bath and a Kamper Kitchen. For Wellington, we were to repay with $s per camper night, since we used the money for concrete and a cable/phone system.

We were still somewhat skeptical after sending out the forms. A couple of weeks later however we received a cashiers check with no other paperwork. Pretty remarkable. The only thing easier would be not to make payments. Loren says he will work on that!”

Dear Pam,

Just wanted to share with you our good feelings about the new Development Bank program at Independence Bank. As you know, we just completed a loan with the bank for a substantial sum and I was very happy with the simplicity, flexibility, and speed in getting this financing in place. Chuck Celania and his assistant, Katie McIntosh-Valdez made setting up this loan almost fun! They are easy to talk to. The loan form is short and simple. They basically just asked me how much, how long, and how do you want to pay it back? I have to admit I was a little dumbfounded! My local bank gave me about 10 pages of forms to fill out and told me once they were all filled out they would submit them to a committee in some other place for approval and would let me know sometime. No thanks!

When Loren told me about this loan program and how easy and flexible it was I have to admit I was a little skeptical. Not anymore! It really is an easy, painless process. What a great program and what a great benefit to the KOA system. Give my thanks to Loren and PKS for helping to get this loan system off and running.

Sincerely,

Mike Bell, President,
